We (as a nation) have such an addiction to sugar that we can't think outside of the box when it come to breakfast! If we can't have sugar.... oatmeal from a box, pancakes,poptarts or doughnuts we don't know what to eat. I just started the whole 30...look it up! The first thing people say is what do you eat for breakfast? Imagine the shock when I say vegetables, eggs and high quality meat!! My kids even said to me.."mommy that's dinner" And there lies our problem! We base our lives so much on what society eats, does and thinks that we can't even eat vegetables for breakfast without people thinking it's weird. Breakfast is the first thing that enters our body...its our first bite of fuel for the day...and it doesn't have to be sugar based. Think simple food to start your day, food that you should be eating all day. Vegetables, fruit and carbs such as potatoes(not fried). Don't let others tell you what's right and wrong when it comes to food. Listen to your body, research what may fit into your lifestyle and implement it daily. Most importantly though...don't let others tell you what you "should" and "shouldn't" eat. It's your body and your life!
