What if you ate what your body needed instead of what your brain craves?
What if you chose to eat the veggies over the fries? The water over the soda? The fish over the fried chicken? The fruit over the ice cream? I can tell you what! Your body would FEEL so much better! You would be sick less, have more energy and you would look better!! So why do we turn to the magic pills? The hundred dollar face creams and the fad diets? Because someone can make money from those things....do some research on what your you are putting into your body and you will be unpleasantly surprised! Almost everything that is not from nature will have a negative affect on your body at some point in your life if you ingest enough of it. So why punish ourselves when we don't have to? I encourage you to start eating closer to the earth. That means you eat things that come from our earth. Less foods made in a factory and more things grown, caught or hunted. You will be SATISFIED when you give your body the nutrients it needs rather than the fake food that tastes the "best." You will actually spend less money because your body will not be craving foods at the end of your meal; you WILL feel satisfied. Your body needs nutrients, not calories. So instead of being obsessed with how many calories you're eating, be concerned with if you are giving your body the nutrients it needs to survive. Often times we are not. We have been conditioned to count calories because we are obsessed with fake food! Learn/train your mind and body to eat real food and feel the benefits for the rest of your life! Cure your body from the inside out!

The hardest part of losing weight and being healthy is eating. We hear it everyday with clients and friends..."I just can't stay on track". There's so many diets, meal plans etc out there it truly is overwhelming but don't let it be.
Keep it stupid simple! Don't overthink clean and healthy eating. We are so busy that most of us don't have the time to meal prep every week, or if we have the time we simply don't want to do. So don't!! There are now so many options at the grocery store and even gas stations that it should be easy to eat better. You just have to take some responsibility and actually make the best decision you can. Grab a bag of salad, add pre grilled chicken. Make an egg with cottage cheese. Grill a package of chicken and have it in the fridge so you can throw some veggies with it later in the week. I live in a small town where we don't even have the options that a big city has and we still manage to eat clean! YOU CAN TOO!! Fruit and cottage cheese, tuna salad and corn chips, homemade chicken patties wrapped in lettuce....I could keep going but I won't. Just don't make eating the hardest part of your day. Make it the easiest! Eat clean, eat simple! Be healthy! I have this idea to simply share information with you on the food you are putting into your body. We all hear processed foods are bad but why? Well here's one big one...

This is simply one example of a toxic additive we eat daily. So my challenge to you is to not only read the ingredients in your food, but know what they are! Remember eat close to the earth and you won't be subjecting you or your children to toxic chemicals such as this!! We (as a nation) have such an addiction to sugar that we can't think outside of the box when it come to breakfast! If we can't have sugar.... oatmeal from a box, pancakes,poptarts or doughnuts we don't know what to eat. I just started the whole 30...look it up! The first thing people say is what do you eat for breakfast? Imagine the shock when I say vegetables, eggs and high quality meat!! My kids even said to me.."mommy that's dinner" And there lies our problem! We base our lives so much on what society eats, does and thinks that we can't even eat vegetables for breakfast without people thinking it's weird. Breakfast is the first thing that enters our body...its our first bite of fuel for the day...and it doesn't have to be sugar based. Think simple food to start your day, food that you should be eating all day. Vegetables, fruit and carbs such as potatoes(not fried). Don't let others tell you what's right and wrong when it comes to food. Listen to your body, research what may fit into your lifestyle and implement it daily. Most importantly though...don't let others tell you what you "should" and "shouldn't" eat. It's your body and your life! It's so hard to know where to even start when it comes to nutrition and holistic healing. There is so much information out there and so much that I want to share with everyone. I've decided to start with what I tell clients, weight loss challenge participants and students....
Your life is a journey and a growth process. We all have decisions to make daily and our health is no different. Just like we all live differently, we all eat different and believe different things. You have to decide what matters to you when it comes to health and fitness. There is evidence out there that can make anything seem healthy, it seems every month there is a new nutrition fad and/or a new way to get "skinny." Your job is to decide what hits home with you, what is important to you when it comes to how to live? When you hear the word food what is important? When you hear the word life what does that mean? How do you want to live your life-do you want to be healthy and live a long healthy life without constant sickness and disease? When you make the decision on what things are important to you then you have to actually put some time in and research nutrition and food. Start on the internet, I usually say Google "clean eating" and see where it takes you. I can tell you until I'm blue in the face what to eat and how to fuel your body but if you don't understand why or how you should eat then you will never truly discover what is best for your body. I will NEVER push food, products or ideas on people, but I am often asked questions about what products I use and endorse so I will share a few of those.
