Being a business owner, Rotarian, mother and small town community member has taught me several things, but one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is that we must take action! If we want to see things change or something new occur; we must do it ourselves, or atleast play a part in making it happen.
When there is something we like or enjoy starting to fall by the way side, when we have an idea that is beneficial to the community (or even a just few people) or when we know there is wrongdoing happening; we have to take action! We have to do something that will make a difference. We as human beings, as members of society and as parents owe it to each other to stand up and do something. We ALL have talents. We all have interests. We all are capable of doing something that will have a positive impact on those around us, or maybe even to the world I don’t just mean talking about change or having an idea, I mean physically taking steps to see something through. Have a conversation, make a plan and find others who want to help your cause. I magine if five people in our town pursued an idea they had or a change they wanted to see implemented; could you imagine what could happen? I can!! We would see some pretty amazing things start to unfold. So next time you complain about something, you have an idea you think is great or there’s something wrong happening....I Challenge you to instead of just talking about it., or complaining about it, to actually do SOMETHING to make the circumstances change. We’ve all heard the saying “be the change you want to see in the world”. Now let’s actually follow and live by those words! Do good, feel good and live well!
